ZYCON 2024

Dear Members,

ZYCON 2024 was organized by Zydus Cancer Hospital jointly with FHNO, AOI, AOMSI, and IASO on 24-25 th February 2024 at Courtyard by Marriot, Ahmedabad.

It was attended by around 145 delegates from India, with 60 National & International Faculties including Dr.Jatin Shah (in person) and Dr.Kyung Tae (virtual).

The theme of the conference was - recent advances and updates in head and neck cancer covering various subsites of the head and neck like the oral cavity, pharynx-larynx, salivary and skull base, thyroid, and minimal access surgery. the topics included newer techniques or technology that have evolved and evolved to impact patient care while still touching the basics.

it was a comprehensive program covering, recent advances like AI in oncology, immunotherapy, newer radiation techniques, reconstruction adjuncts, and molecular pathology. Various keynote talks were included like 3CD CAD CAM panning for mandibular reconstruction, prevention, and management of PC leaks in salvage laryngectomy, precision surgery in the thyroid, and how to establish a robotic head and neck program. 

various case-based discussions on grey areas in clinical practice were discussed by the group of eminent faculties. A unique feature was surgical videos on specific surgical procedures for each different subsite. It also had a paper poster presentation and the best 3 posters were given the platform to present their work. 

the conference was awarded 5 credit hours by the Gujarat Medical Council.
